In the first of two days of night-time in Losail Circuit (Qatar) Dani Pedrosa is the fastest with a best lap of 1'56.271. Just 0.143s behind and in second place was Casey Stoner and third was  Hiroshi Aoyama. The top three is Honda. Factory Yamaha Racing rider Ben Spies (1'56.563) placed fourth with team-mate and World Champion Jorge Lorenzo fifth. Valentino Rossi and his Ducati Team colleague Nicky Hayden was eighth and ninth . The italian riders Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Simoncelli and Loris Capirossi was 7th 11th and 14th .  
This session, the last before the beginning of the championships, goes on this night.

Sabato 12 marzo è festa per i Donatori di sangue del  Mugello. Prossimi alla primavera, il Centro Trasfusionale dell’Ospedale di Borgo San Lorenzo e l’Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello sperano di non essere di nuovo accompagnati dalla neve. La Festa del Donatore infatti si sarebbe dovuta tenere lo scorso 18 dicembre, ma la  nevicata del 17 impedì la realizzazione dell’evento. Le due realtà del Mugello, che da alcuni anni collaborano per la sensibilizzazione alla donazione di sangue, assieme alle associazioni di Donatori Volontari, hanno così programmato per sabato la tradizionale Festa di ringraziamento per i Donatori di Sangue. A questa iniziativa, come sempre, hanno dato il patrocinio numerose istituzioni del Mugello, dai comuni di Borgo e Scarperia, alla Società della salute, alla Comunità Montana ed interverranno numerose Autorità civili e militari, testimonial sportivi. Alle 10 inizierà la giornata con la visita ad alcune strutture dell’Autodromo e poi ci sarà una breve riunione dove verrà affrontato il tema del “Rosso” che è il filo conduttore che unisce la passione sportiva, la Donazione di Sangue, molte rappresentazioni artistiche e una delle eccellenze italiane: il vino. Saranno presenti infatti la Storica dell’Arte Sonia Zampini, il Gallerista Fabio Fornaciai e l’Enologo Paolo Tronci. La vicinanza con la Festa Nazionale del 17 marzo, consentirà anche una breve riflessione sul rosso della nostra Bandiera e sul sangue versato da tanti giovani in nome dell’Ideale per l' Italia. Pur con qualche cenno alle attività del Servizio Trasfusionale, l’occasione vuole essere di pura festa e di ringraziamento ai donatori e sarà intercalata da brani cantati dal Coro dell’Associazione Nazionale Alpini, da poesie declamate da Leonardo Mari, dalla presenza dei Bandierai e Musici di Castel San Barnaba (nome storico di Scarperia) per concludersi con un aperitivo/buffet offerto da alcuni generosi sponsor. Tra le collaborazioni che hanno reso possibile la giornata va senz’altro citata quella con il Centro di Socializzazione del Mugello che offrirà un piccolo gadget ai Donatori di Sangue e metterà a disposizione per chi voglia acquistarli piccoli oggetti realizzati dai ragazzi diversamente abili del Centro. L’evento è aperto a chiunque voglia partecipare e avvicinarsi in modo piacevole alla donazione di sangue, sarà infatti possibile anche effettuare un prelievo per conoscere il proprio gruppo sanguigno

Special event dedicated to 'Woman planet' with a ticket for TIM Italian Grand Prix that Mugello Circuit will host in July, 3rd. "Ticket in pink" (in italian Biglietto in Rosa) is devoted to all the women (and to those people that get a nominal ticket with a femine name). It will be possible get tickets for 2-3 days or for race-day with a discounted price of 30%. It is enough to enter in one of the 800 Ticketone points you can find in Italy or through the website www.ticketone.it. This special advancement will be enabled in March, 6th, 7th, 8th. "The feminine component of the Italian Grand Prix grows year in and year out, Mugello Circuit's CEO Paolo Poli said. This special initiative confirm our aim to make the Grand Prix a gala day".

From today, March, 1st, and until May, 31th, it will be possible buy a ticket for the Italian Grand Prix of Motorcycles with a discount from 10 to 13%. Today the phase three of the successful presale or the race (in July, 3rd) has started. Tickets are available for Tribuna Centrale 'Bronze', 'Silver' or 'Biondetti', in July, 2nd, the day of the qualifying practices.  On Sunday, 3rd, for: Centrale 'Bronze', 'Silver' or 'Biondetti', 'Poggio Secco' Grandstand, 'Materassi' Grandstand. First row (and the best place of the second) for team Honda at the end of the MotoGP session run in Sepang. Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa are the sole rider which made one lap under 2 minutes.  This is the description of the three days in Malaysia where track reached almost 60 degrees celsius. The laptime is the best of the three days. Yesterday the italian champion Valentino Rossi did not test because of a fever, a problem for other riders, too. 

Stoner (Honda) is the fastest rider in the first day of a new MotoGP test session in Sepang. The australian is the only rider under 2.10 with his best laptime, 2.00,987. At the second place his teammate Dani Pedrosa wihile Jorge Lorenzo is third. Two Yamaha - Edwards and Spies - for the fourth and sixth postion with Dovizioso (Honda) is fifth. Valentino Rossi (Ducati) is ninth, one second slower than Stoner.

There are plenty of cars today on the track of the Mugello Circuit for a busy day of motorsport activity. We can see several racing stables as Costa Ovest, with Seat Leon; Scuderia La.Na and their 430 Ferrari; GDL and Antonelli Sport with Porsche. It is possible to take a look for Nova Race, a racing stable based in Reggio Emilia, with Ginetta, a racing car manufactured in the UK for which Nova Race is the sole importer for Italy. The Ginetta, conformed for GT4 and almost for GTCUP, will have to partecipate to the european and italian Championships of these classes.
