Hundreds of exhibitors will partecipate at the seventh 'Mostra scambio' a special event fully dedicated to old cars, bikes and spare parts. A vintage festival under the organization of Svarvolati Mugellani, with the cooperation of Mugello Circuit, under the aegis of the city of Scarperia and the Province of Florence that we hosted April, 30th, May 1st. It will be possible, Saturday (with cars) and Sunday (bikes) make free practices (please contact www.promoracing.com) or driving a rent-kart in the Mugellino, always inside the circuit (www.ilmugellino.it).

It' s so beautiful, unexpected almost for the writer, too. And it's a work in progress. You have to imagine how it will be at the end.

You know, to see what's happened on track it's s better.. Theres' a new track surface, a big atmosphere in the paddock, more than 450 riders... but if you're not able to be at the Mugello Circuit in this week end for National Premier Cup of motorbike, you can have a special opportunity, too.

Nell’ambito della Premier Cup, il challenge nazionale di motovelocità organizzato dal Moto Club Firenze, è inserita anche la prima prova del Trofeo Italiano Amatori 2011. Si tratta dell’unico campionato concepito appositamente per i non-professionisti tanto che non sono ammessi i piloti che vantano tempi sul giro più veloci di quelli minimi fissati dagli organizzatori. Due le categorie, Base e Avanzata, che raggruppano i conduttori in base all’omogeneità delle prestazioni, e due le classi, la 600 e la 1000. La formula, che consente ai frequentatori delle prove libere di sentirsi almeno per 5 fine settimana all’anno al pari di piloti “veri” raccoglie unanimi consensi tanto che al Mugello saranno ben 150 gli Amatori pronti a sfidarsi. 
Le prime indicazioni concrete giungeranno comunque dalle prove di qualificazione, in programma sabato 16. Intorno alle 15.30 si conosceranno le quattro griglie di partenza ed alle 19.00, presso l’hospitality del Trofeo Italiano Amatori, saranno premiati gli autori delle pole position e sarà offerto un aperitivo. Le gare scatteranno domenica mattina secondo il seguente programma: 9.30, 600 Base; 10.10, 1000 Base; 10.50, 600 Avanzata; 11.30, 1000 Avanzata.

It's spring time and race time for the Mugello Circuit and the riders of Premier National Cup of motorbike will struggle with a new track surface. They will be more than 450. The battle of Premier Cup is in four starts:   600 Stock, 600 Aperta , 1000 Stock and Open, con traditional competitors or young and experted riders. Very rich of practices sunday 16th, with 24 official sessions (you can see them on live timing session from this website) while the 12 strating procedures will begin on 9 am in sunday 17th. 

In sella alla bici, e via pedalare. Piccoli ciclisti corrono, e crescono, in Mugello, e chissà se un giorno saranno famosi, proprio come quei campioni del ciclismo per cui fanno il tifo. Intanto, si allenano, divertendosi. E in tutta sicurezza all’Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. E’ stato infatti raggiunto un accordo tra il comune di Borgo San Lorenzo e l’Autodromo che permette ai bambini dai 7 ai 12 anni del CC Appenninico 1907 di allenarsi in un’ area sopra il paddock, già sede del tracciato per go-kart, minimoto, scooter.. del  “Mugellino”  
“Da qualche settimana i bambini della società sportiva possono allenarsi su un tracciato adeguato e soprattutto in sicurezza, lontani dalla strada - sottolinea l’assessore allo Sport del comune di Borgo San Lorenzo Stefano Marucelli - . E questo grazie alla disponibilità dell’Autodromo del Mugello che ancora una volta dimostra di essere una struttura sportiva di eccellenza a servizio del territorio. La morte del giovanissimo ciclista l’agosto scorso sulle strade di Rufina è stato per tutti un dramma e uno shock. La sicurezza per chi pratica uno sport come quello del ciclismo, soprattutto quando sulla strada ci possono essere dei bambini, è una condizione fondamentale. L’accordo con l’Autodromo, che ringrazio ancora per la disponibilità, è una soluzione che consente ai baby ciclisti e ai dirigenti del CC Appenninico di potersi allenare e muovere in sicurezza, e spero che questa esperienza virtuosa possa essere presa ad esempio ed estesa in altre realtà territoriali”.
“Le società sportive ed i rispettivi dirigenti hanno una duplice responsabilità: quella di contribuire a far crescere bene – come persone e come sportivi -  i bambini e le bambine affidati loro dalle famiglie e far sì che queste sappiano che l’attività sportiva si svolge nella massima tranquillità: abbiamo raggiunto quest’ultimo obiettivo grazie al supporto del comune di Borgo San Lorenzo - che ha capito l’importanza delle problematiche che gli sottoponevamo -  ed alla dirigenza dell’Autodromo che ha saputo e voluto rispondere a questa esigenza”. Così Giuseppe Parigi, Presidente del CC Appenninico 1907. “E’ la dimostrazione, ha poi concluso, di un'attenzione e di una sensibilità per la quale va a Paolo Poli, Amministratore Unico del Mugello,  la riconoscenza dello staff del CC Appenninico e di tutte le famiglie”.

Ad hard day of training for Ferrari Driver Academy took place on the newly resurfaced Mugello circuit. Jules Bianchi and Davide Rigon drove the F60 Formula 1 car that Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro campaigned in 2009.  Bianchi’s programme focussed on preparation for the GP2 race of the season, which takes place at Istanbul on 8th May as part of the Turkish Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend. The Frenchman found driving on the five kilometre track where innovative technology and safety measures are perfectly combined was both exciting and very instructive. “We chose Mugello for this course because, with its climbs and descents, its long straights and its particularly demanding corners, it offers plenty of opportunities to learn in a safe environment,” explained Luca Baldisserri, the head of the programme.  Bianchi enjoyed tackling such a technical and at the same time enjoyable track, saying that “it stretches you when you drive it, providing plenty of tips for improvement.”
Davide Rigon, who works with the academy in developing the simulator also got the chance to try his hand at the wheel of a Formula 1 car. “Trying a real single-seater after so much time in the simulator is really useful in terms of further developing the car, which so far I have only done mainly on a virtual level,” said the Italian.

The Ducati Marlboro Team is preparing for battle at the Spanish Grand Prix, theseason’s first European race and one of the most characteristic and popular rounds of the entire championship, for fans and riders alike.

VALENTINO ROSSI, 
“Qatar, with its many hard corner entries and areas where we brake to the right, was difficult for my shoulder. We’ll see if Jerez is a little easier from that point of view, although I think I’ll still have to grit my teeth for a while. Since Qatar, I’ve continued working out in the gym to try and increase my strength and especially my endurance, but after Spain I’ll have almost a month to recuperate more fully, following the postponement of the Japanese Grand Prix. From a technical point of view, Jerez doesn’t seem to have been the most favorable track for Ducati, but I’ve always liked it a lot and we’ll definitely have to try and do better than we have until now. For the moment, we’ll continue working on the setup, using everything we learned in Qatar, where we found some good solutions for the race.”

NICKY HAYDEN
“Jerez is a really unique race with a great track. It’s one of the highlights of the whole season, and because it’s the first European race, in some ways it almost feels like it’s the first race of the year all over again. It’s a track I’ve enjoyed in the past, and I definitely enjoy racing there. Round 1 in Qatar obviously didn’t go how we’d hoped, pretty much from the start of the weekend, so we need to just try and learn from that and go into Jerez and hopefully come out a lot stronger on Friday. We’ll just go back at ’em—that’s all I really know how to do. Hopefully we can get up closer to the sharp end and have a bit of fun. Jerez can be a really fund weekend if you’re in the mix. We don’t really have any miracle game plan or anything crazy. We’ll just go in there and try and get a good result.”
