After the successful 2009 edition of the Cup match in Italy, the DDC 2010 series is filled with exciting news . The competitions take place over one weekend. Free practice is Saturday afternoon and qualifying and races on Sunday. As listed above, there are always three categories: Superbike, Supersport, and Pro Twins. Inside the Pro Twins, the class reserved for stock Hypermotard version, in 2010 the brand new EVO 1100 EVO SP and the Monster 1100 and 1100S will be included to create a new and compelling classification the "Desmodue Stock". Finally, as in past editions, the 848 will have a special prize.

The Ferrari Racing Days event ended today at the Mugello International Circuit, after a weekend of track action featuring the historic Formula 1 cars prepared by the F1 Clienti department in Maranello and the F430 Challenge cars entered in the Italian championship of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. There was non-racing action too, with over 50 Ferrari owners trying their hand on track in their own cars, as part of the special “Emozioni in pista” programme. Of the drivers competing in Trofeo Pirelli, Race 1 saw victory go to Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) who crossed the line ahead of Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) and Riccardo Ragazzi (Ineco/MP). Among the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) was first past the flag, followed by Giovanni Cappelletti (Rossocorsa/Pellin) and Erich Prinoth (Ineco/MP). In the afternoon race Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) took the win, beating Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) and Riccardo Ragazzi (Ineco/MP), into second and third places respectively. Then Giovanni Cappelletti (Rossocorsa/Pellin) took the won in the Coppa Shell, leading home Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) and Flavio Pierleoni (Motor Malucelli).

The bikers who live in the county of Mugello (Barberino, Borgo San Lorenzo, Dicomano, Firenzuola, Marradi, Palazzuolo, San Piero a Sieve, Scarperia, Vaglia, Vicchio) will have access on track - in the free practice days of motorbike organized by Moto Club Firenze -with a special discountend price of 15%. That's the philosophy of an agreement betweeen Promo Racing and Comunità Montana Mugello, signed thanks to Mugello Circuit.

The first Ferrari Racing Days of the year got underway today at the Mugello International Circuit with this weekend seeing the F430 Challenge cars tackling the fourth round of the Italian series of the one-make championship. The packed programme also featured some untimed sessions for the historic Formula 1 cars prepared by the F1 Clienti department of Maranello. The on track tutor for the F1 owners at this Ferrari Racing Days is Jean Alesi, who raced for the Maranello Scuderia from 1991 to 1995 and is currently teamed with Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander in the Le Mans Series championship, at the wheel of the one of three Ferraris entered by the AF Corse team. No fewer than ten of these beauties have come to the Tuscan track, including a 1987 ex Alboreto and Berger F1-87/88C, three cars driven by Michael Schumacher in 1989, 2003 and 2004 and an ex Felipe Massa 2006 248 F1. Other non-competitive action included track time for over 50 Ferrari owners who were able to test themselves at the wheel of their cars in the special “Emozioni in pista” programme. 

The first qualifying session for the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli saw Giorgio Senargiotto (Motor/Piacenza) set the fastest time to take the first pole position of the day, ahead of Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) and Dario Caso (CDP). In the Coppa Shell, Giovanni Cappelletti (Rossocorsa/Pellin) was fastest, setting the sixth time overall, ahead of Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) and Sergio Rota (Motor/Piacenza).In the afternoon qualifying session to decide the grid for Race 2, Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) topped the time sheet, followed by Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) and Dario Caso (CDP). Seventh position for Giuseppe Fascicolo (Rossocorsa/Pellin) among the gentleman drivers Giovanni Cappelletti (Rossocorsa/Pellin).

The two races in the Italian series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will be shown live on Sunday 4 July at 11.15 (Race 1) on Sky Sport 2 and at 15.15 (Race 2) on Sky Sport Extra.

 

The Italian Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will be back in action at the Mugello International Circuit, over the weekend of 4 July, as part of the first of three Ferrari Racing Days scheduled for this year; the other two taking place in Valencia on 18 July and in Budapest on 5 September. The F430 Challenge cars will be tackling the fourth round of the Italian series of the one-make championship, starting with free practice and qualifying on Saturday, followed by two races on Sunday, when competitors in the Trofeo Pirelli and the Coppa Shell will race together, but with separate classifications.
The weekend will also provide an opportunity to admire the single-seaters prepared by the F1 Clienti department of Maranello, as they tackle a few untimed track sessions. No less than ten cars will take part, including a 1987 ex Alboreto/Berger F1-87/88 C, three of the cars Michael Schumacher drove in 1989, 2003 and 2004 and a 2006 ex-Felipe Massa 248 F1. The Tuscan track will also provide the backdrop for 50 Ferrari owners to get behind the wheel of their cars, as part of the special “Excitement on track” programme.
Going into the eagerly anticipated round, Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) heads the Italian Trofeo Pirelli classification on 74 points, followed by Lorenzo Case (Motor Piacenza) and Andrea Belluzzi (Motor Modena,) who are on 71 and 66 points respectively. Leading the Coppa Shell is Massimo Mantovani (Motor Malucelli,) seven points clear of fellow gentleman driver Flavio Pierleoni (Motor Malucelli) and eleven ahead of Andrea Rizzoli (Motor Piacenza.)

The Mugello Circuit will host in the first week end of July Ferrari Challenge that run its third round of the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany. This weekend over forty F430 cars entered in the Ferrari one-make championship took to the track in spectacular races with plenty of overtaking. The Italian series of the Trofeo Pirelli is at its third event of this Championship and, in Race 1, victory went to Andrea Belluzzi (Motor Modena) ahead of Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) and Lorenzo Casè (Motor Piacenza). In the second leg, first across the line was Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) followed home by Riccardo Ragazzi (Ineco MP) and Andrea Belluzzi (Motor Modena) in second and third places respectively. Of the gentleman drivers competing in the Coppa Shell, Andrea Rizzoli (Motor Piacenza) took the win ahead of Sergio Rota (Motor Piacenza) and Tommaso Rocca (Rossocorsa), while first to see the chequered flag in Race 2 was Massimo Mantovani (Motor Malucelli) with Vincenzo Sauto (Ineco MP) second and Flavio Pierleoni (Motor Malucelli) third.
