The 2025 sports season is at the door and again for this year Mugello confirms mind-boggling numbers: 15 races between cars and motorcycles for a total of 250 days of activity between days dedicated to Formula 1 tests, tests for the minor formulas (F4, Freca), but also Hypercar and LMP2, as well as GP cars and days dedicated to free practice of motorcycles and cars. Major international events are confirmed, starting with the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix, which this year will be held June 20-22, an even more spectator-friendly date. It will be great to celebrate together with all MotoGP fans the arrival of summer on the longest days of the year for an unforgettable weekend.
Also among the must-see events are Le Finali Mondiali Ferrari, which return to the Tuscan track from October 24 to 26, a spectacle on and off the track for all Prancing Horse fans.
Speaking of four wheels, as per tradition, the first appointment of the sports calendar will once again be with the world of Endurance. The Creventic 12 Hours, a championship dedicated to GT and touring cars, will be held March 21-23.
This will be followed by FX Racing, a new reference in Italian motorsport, with events designed for fans, categories dedicated to single-seaters, touring cars and GTs, and the spectacle of Maxx formula F1s on the track.
Among the events in the car world, the Italian Auto Championships (July 11-13 and September 12-14) and the Mugello Racing Weekend (May 9-11 and September 5-7) should be noted.
As for national motorcycling, dates to mark in your diary are the stages of the CIV Italian Speed Championship (May 30-June 1 and October 3-5) and Coppa Italia (April 11-13).
For lovers of tradition, of note are the Rievocazione Stradale del Mugello on Sunday, May 4, and the Modena 100 Hours on Wednesday, October 8.
Paolo Poli, Director and AD of the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello: “The announcement of the calendar is always a special moment also because it marks the end of the period dedicated to maintenance works and improvements of the track to devote to sporting activities. This year, elevation upgrades were made to the San Donato runway, replaced more than 2,000 tires and added an additional 400 meters of vertical tire protection systems (type C). The Mugello track, which has been constantly improved in terms of safety, is as technical, safe, fast and demanding as those of yesteryear, but equipped with all the requirements dictated by the highest international homologations, FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A. We are proud to be the only circuit in Italy to have the homologations and related licenses to host MotoGP and Formula 1 races. Not only that, in 50 years of history the original layout of the Tuscan track has never been changed and today MotoGP riders such as Bagnaia, Marquez, Martin, Bastiani, Bezzecchi, Quartararo or Vinales can directly confront each other on the 15 corners and 5245 meters that in 1976 saw Barry Sheene triumph in the queen class, the 500cc.
As for the 2025 calendar, we will start with the 12Ore Creventic, a must-see event for Endurance lovers. Many appointments in 2 and 4 wheels with two highlights: The Motogp Italian Grand Prix, this year with an even more favorable date: June 20-22 and the Ferrari World Finals from October 24-26.”
