The Hankook 12H MUGELLO, the inaugural race for the 2023 Mugello Circuit Sporting season
On 25-26 March 2023, the Hankook 12H MUGELLO, one of the longest-running events on the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook calendar, will be held for the ninth time since 2014.
Continuing its strong working relationship with Dutch promoter CREVENTIC, the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello has fast-established itself as the host venue for the 24H SERIES’ European season opener every year, bar two, over the last near-decade.
Traditionally one of its most popular events, the Hankook 12H MUGELLO is often among the most competitive in the 24H SERIES. The inaugural event in 2014 for example remains the closest 24H SERIES finish in history, with just 5.4 seconds splitting the winning, Ferrari-works team AF Corse with then-reigning Hankook 24H DUBAI winner, Stadler Motorsport. On top of that, three different manufacturers – Ferrari, Porsche and Renault – each took outright victory across the first three editions, with a fourth – BMW – joining the throng in 2022, the latter of which marked the first endurance racing win for the new M4 GT3.
