Mugello Classic
A stop at the Mugello circuit for the start of the Series by Peter Auto! And a Historic Racing by Peter Auto season cannot take place without a stop on the Italian asphalt. Mugello has always been the scene of some of the greatest battles in the history of motor sport.
From 5 to 7 April 2024, more than 300 racing cars battle it out on this modern, avant-garde circuit often described, with its long climbs and dizzying descents, as a "Roller Coaster". To the delight of the drivers and ourselves! Divided into 9 grids, the cars entered cover different periods of motor sport and industry, including the emblematic GTs, Sportscars, Prototypes and Touring cars from the 1950s to 2010.
This season, the Series by Peter Auto is adding two new and interesting grids: The Gentlemen Challenge and the Classic Touring Challenge.
The Gentlemen Challenge, in particular, is a vibrant tribute to the legendary Mugello Grand Prix of the 1960s, when circuits such as the winding and demanding Mugello layout were the scene of fierce battles between European motoring icons. Iconic models such as the Ferrari 250 SWB and the Alfa Romeo TZ, flagships of Italian engineering, battled alongside smaller manufacturers such as OSCA and Abarth.
Mugello Classic promises to recapture the spirit and excitement of these historic races, offering spectators a window into a past where speed and strategy ruled the circuit. These meticulously restored cars will be brought back to life on the track, reviving the golden age of Italian and European motor sport.

Appuntamento all’Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello domenica 14 Aprile
Domenica 14 Aprile torna all’Autodromo del Mugello l’appuntamento con la rievocazione storica del Circuito stradale del Mugello. L’arrivo delle vetture del circuito stradale è previsto intorno alle ore 12:00, con parata e in pista dalle 13:35 alle 14:35, a seguire premiazioni in pista
LA STORIA La gara originaria (dal 1914 al 1970) si svolgeva in un anello di strade formate dalla S.S. della Futa che unisce Firenze a Bologna e da quella del Passo del Giogo. Su questo percorso si sono sfidati piloti del calibro di Giuseppe Campari, Gastone Brilli Peri, Giulio Masetti, Emilio Materassi, Enzo Ferrari, Clemente Biondetti, Nino Vaccarella, Giovanni 'Nanni' Galli, Gijs Van Lennep, Vic Elford e Arturo Merzario. Il Circuito Stradale del Mugello fa parte del Campionato Italiano Grandi Eventi per vetture d’epoca e del Campionato Italiano Grandi Eventi Auto Moderne di ACI Sport.
L’EDIZIONE 2024 prevede due giorni di gara dal 12 al 14 aprile che, partendo dalla Città di Firenze, si snoderà attraverso i più suggestivi paesaggi toscani nella giornata di sabato, per poi ripercorrere lo storico tracciato della corsa e concludersi presso l’Autodromo del Mugello la domenica. Arrivo in circuito intorno alle 12:00, parata in pista alle 13:35.
